Not too many trains during the winter. However, the two days during each week in November there are trains they are full and running double headers - the (coal burning) Earl of Meirioneth and Blanche.

Czech Railways run "specials" from Prague to a the small town Luzna where the Czech Railways Museum is located. It is here that you can find an excellent collection of restored, and fully working, steam locomotives. Fabulous day out.

This is my 'local' station. Very close to this station is a goods sorting yard hence the high number of freight trains passing through. It is also the main route to Prague's two main stations as well as others.

Augsburg in Southern Germany has an excellent, and expanding, tram system. It is home to 60+ Siemens Combino trams that are some of the longest trams available. Well worth a visit.

I wasn't quite raised on the Ffestiniog Railway, but it was an important and quite significant in my early life. Hence why the railway has a an important place in my life. The ultimate will be when the line to Caernarfon is completed.
